Metal scrap prices depends on market conditions and on the category and type of metal scrap. The price for mixed scrap is set depending on the percentage of metal categories, contained in this batch.
As a rule, metal scrap prices change at the beginning of the week (Monday-Tuesday) and remain unchanged until the end of the week (including Saturday).
Personal income tax in the amount of 10% is withheld from income from the sale of metal scrap and transferred to the Latvian state budget (Law as of 22.09.2011. “Amendments to the Law “On Personal Income Tax”).
