! On the 21st of September 2021 LOM.LV UZŅĒMUMS, SIA has signed an agreement Nr. SKV-L-2021/290 with Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) for the project “International competitiveness promotion”, which is co-financed by the European Regional.

Metal scrap is not a garbage, it is secondary raw material, that worth over 200 EUR per ton.

Recycling of scrap metal is the preparation of already used metals for melting. And although the characteristics of scrap, that is, the chemical composition, density, size, minimum allowable harmful substances are dictated by metallurgists, for almost all smelters common and the main are two properties of scrap metal – the size of the package and the density of recycled scrap.

These parameters are fixed in technical conditions and standards. It is also the basis for determining the price of scrap metal. All these parameters and the equipment used to obtain them largely determine the economic efficiency of both scrap processing plants and the final buyer – the metallurgist.

Description of production process:

1. Purchasing of metal scrap from all over Riga and its regions. It`s arriving by trucks in storage containers and become registrated, weighed, sorted and checked for radiation, according to the European Union requirements for environmental protection.

2. The sorted and checked scrap then goes for further processing. Large scrap pieces are cut into standard pieces by hydraulic shears. Small sized scrap, shavings and cuttings are pressed into 0.8*0.8*0.6 m3 forms for further convenient transportation. Industrial crane-loaders load scrap into railway carriages.

The company provides a full range of services related to, but not limited: collection, loading, sorting and transportation of scrap metal. Scrap metal is purchased at agreed price with partners in Riga and Riga`s region.
We have a licenses: for old cars recycling and removing it from the records; for transportation of scrap metal, providing our trucks and containers, including special transport, for collection of scrap metal.

The main activity of the company is carried out on the left bank of the Daugava river in Riga and the Riga`s regions. For construction companies we provide services for disassembling of various heavy equipment, ventilation systems, warehouses and workshops.

The number of employees is more than 100 people. The company has more than 50 units of various special equipment, including shear balers with the capacity of more than 10 tons per hour, designed for processing of metal products larger than 3 meters.
